NEW INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP FOR CNETE
On November 29, 2023, Nancy Déziel, General Manager of CNETE Shawinigan, and Jérôme Bodelle, Founder and President of CRITT M2A, officially sealed a strategic collaboration partnership. This alliance aims to facilitate the sharing of equipment and expertise in the field of battery materials. The announcement of this new collaboration was made during a ceremony held at Shawinigan City Hall.
CRITT M2A is recognized as a French center of expertise specializing in battery testing and research and development. Initially focused on the automotive motorization and acoustics field, CRITT M2A (Center for Research, Technical and Technological Innovation in Automotive Engine and Acoustics) shifted its focus to batteries about a decade ago, as explained by Mr. Bodelle.
This alliance between CNETE, a specialist in battery materials, and CRITT M2A, a leading French player in battery testing and research and development, represents a significant step in sharing expertise between France and Canada. The combination of the expertise of both entities will uniquely address the needs of the American, Canadian, and Quebec clientele in the lithium-ion battery field, from mining to recycling.
“We are thrilled about this collaboration with CNETE. This agreement paves the way for exciting opportunities for collaborative research, knowledge sharing, and the development of innovative solutions in key sectors,” said Mr. Jérôme Bodelle.
“This alliance with CRITT M2A represents a major advance in our commitment to strengthening international collaborations. Together, we aspire to push the boundaries of research and achieve significant scientific and technological advancements. This cooperation agreement will enable the provision of services in the characterization and testing of battery materials,” added Mrs. Nancy Déziel, General Manager of CNETE in Shawinigan.
As part of this agreement, both entities commit to sharing their expertise and implementing innovative research projects that promote the emergence of new technologies, the design of innovative products, and the resolution of common scientific and technological challenges. Additionally, this alliance will encourage exchanges of students, researchers, and professionals, as well as the implementation of joint training and education programs to promote the development of skills and knowledge.
